An interesting last name…
Apparently, the folks at Focus on the Family do this nifty little editing job on news articles that include words they don't like. WTF? I don't know. I don't imagine that many of their members can actually read and the ones that do probably do so only with great difficulty, a finger under the words and rebuses (rebi?), and much moving of their chicken fat-covered lips. In any case, one of those words, they don't like is "gay," which lead to this interesting editing job.
In all fairness, the newspaper from where I grew up and where The Screwed-Up Life of Charlie the Second is set, was well mocked for its 1994 headline about the Enola Homosexual.
