Instinct Magazine review of The Screwed-Up Life of Charlie the Second

- August 27 2008,

John Hamilton at Instinct Magazine reviewed The Screwed-Up Life of Charlie the Second, giving the novel 4.5 out of 5 stars, and writing: "Ferguson tempers [Charlie's] illicit antics in the choir rehearsal room with compelling well-rounded characters and plenty of humor ... Despite Judy Blume's groundbreaking frankness, I don't think she ever had a character do what Charlie does!... Charles' story is as self-obsessed, cringe-inducing and revelatory as that of anyone who kept a teenage diary, with the added benefit of also being outright funny."

Thanks, John. I did finish Superfudge; there's nothing in it to warrant the title or your suspicions. Be sure to check out the September issue of Instinct Magazine. Besides having a photo of my ugly mug, it actually does have some Chicago eye candy in the form of Ronnie Kroell, who, besides being really good looking, is apparently a swell guy. Don't you just hate people like that?
